  1. Click on the Add Custom Service button.
  2. In the Service Name box, type in a name for this forward. This will serve as a reminder to you in the future as to why this forward was set up, so give it a name that makes sense to you.
  3. In the Protocol dropdown box, select the protocol type of the ports you are forwarding. Choose Both if your router has that option. Otherwise, choose either TCP or UDP as needed. If you need to forward a port for both TCP and UDP and your router does not have the Both option, then you need to create two entries.
  4. If you are forwarding a single port number, enter it into the External Port Range box. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of that range into the External Port Range box, followed by a hyphen followed by the largest number. For example, a range of port numbers might look like this: 1000-2000.
  5. Check Use the same port range for Internal port.
  6. You need to enter the IP address that you are forwarding ports to into the Internal IP address box. This can be either the IP address of your computer or any other IP address on your network that you want ports forwarded to.
  7. Click the Apply button at the top of the page to apply these changes when you are completely finished.
