Diagnostics: This "Multi-layer" diagnostic examines the functionality of the gateway from the physical connections to the application traffic being sent by users through the gateway. This sequence of tests takes approximately one minute to generate results. Ping: Ping tests the ability of this gateway to loop a message back and forth to the remote host. Traceroute: Traceroute checks what route or nodes the packet goes through to get to the remote host. NSLookup: NSLookup uses a Name Server to translate between Hostname and IP address. Target: The source information for Ping, Traceroute, and NSLookup. Preferred protocol: If IPv6 is enabled, the protocol can be either IPv4 or IPv6. A skipped Test result indicates that the test was not performed because a pre-requisite test failed or the test is not appropriate. © 2017 ARRIS Enterprises, LLC. All rights reserved.
