Logout SBG6900-AC Advanced - Port Forwarding The SBG6900-AC can use port forwarding to provide services to Internet users outside the home. You may designate a device on your network to handle all incoming traffic destined for a specific port or range of ports. You can also map incoming traffic destined for a specific port (or range of ports) to a different port (or ports) on your network device. Finally, you may limit the incoming traffic to packets emanating from a specific device on the Internet. When you add a port forwarding entry, you must specify the local IP address and port number (or range) for the device on your network to receive the forwarded packets. You must specify the IP protocol (TCP, UDP or Both) and should enter a description. If you are forwarding packets to a single port, enter the same number for the starting and ending port. Use the pull-down to select from a list of commonly used protocols and automatically fill in the port numbers and protocol type. To map ports, use the External Start/End Port fields to specify the incoming port number(s). Leave the External Start/End Port fields set to 0 if you do not need to switch port numbers while forwarding packets. Use the External IP Address field to specify the device on the Internet that will send the packets. Leave the External IP Address field set to 0.0.0.0 to forward packets from any device on the Internet. Be sure to select Enable and press Apply to activate the port forwarding entry.
