What happens if I put my router in wireless bridge mode? 2.4 GHz band The 2.4 GHz band will be used exclusively for communication with your main router. Devices connected to the 2.4 GHz band will be reconnected to the main router's 2.4 GHz band. Band steering will no longer be available on the 2.4 GHz band. Band steering will work on your 5 GHz band(s). 5 GHz band(s) The 5 GHz band(s) will be used exclusively for communication with your main router. Devices connected to the 5 GHz band(s) will be reconnected to the main router's 5 GHz band(s). Band steering will no longer be available.
