What is Remote Web Access used for? Remote Web Access allows the device to be accessed and configured from anywhere on the Internet by using the WAN IP address and a specified port. For example, if the IP address of the Internet port of your is 11.22.33.44 then you could access the device remotely by typing http://11.22.33.44:8080 in the address bar of your Internet browser. Who can access my Vonage Phone Adapter remotely? You control who can access your Vonage Phone Adapter. You can limit access to a specific device (remote host) or provide unlimited access. How do I enable remote web access? To enable remote web access: 1. Check the Enable checkbox. 2. Enter the IP address of the device you want to allow access to your Vonage Phone Adapter in the Remote Network IP field. If you want to provide access to all devices, enter 0.0.0.0. 3. Enter the subnet mask of the device accessing the Vonage Phone Adapter in the Remote Netmask field. If you entered 0.0.0.0 in the Remote Network IP field to provide access to all devices, you will need to enter 0.0.0.0 here as well. Note that remote Web UI access using HTTP is not secure, hence it is recommended not to provide access to all devices on the Internet. The default is 255.255.255.255. 4. If you want to provide access via a port other than 8080, enter it in the Redirect Port field. By default, port 8080 is used. 5. Click the Save button.
