If you give the router a name, it appears under this name on your computers. Remote access from the Internet You can normally only define settings on your router via a computer from your network. Should you wish to make any changes to your router settings while you are away (i.e. from your desk), you can enable remote access via the Internet. To do so, select the Permanently Enabled setting. For the configuration of the remote access your router must be connected to the internet. If you require assistance at short notice from someone you can trust, you can also enable remote access via the Internet for a definable period of time. To do so, select the Temporarily Enabled setting. Bear in mind that this person will be able to view and change all your router settings during the set period of time!
