You may have a number of computers on your network and want to limit certain computers to access the internet only at certain times, for example you may want to only allow access for the kids computer between 5 and 9 in the evening! You may want to restrict certain computers from accessing the internet through your modem, these may be computers in your home or office as well as computers that have access to your modem through wireless connection.
