In this guide I will be showing you how to port forward the HooToo HT-ND003 router. Your router comes with a firewall designed to block unwanted access to and from the Internet. Sometimes you want some of these blocked connections to be unblocked. This is called a port forward because you are forwarding a port through your firewall directly to a device on your home network.
We will be walking through each of the following steps:
- How to setup a static IP address on the device you plan on forwarding these ports to.
- How to login to the HooToo HT-ND003 router.
- How to navigate to the port forwarding section of your HooToo HT-ND003 router.
- And finally, what data to enter to get your ports forwarded.
We think that forwarding a port should be easy. That's why we created Network Utilities. Our software does everything that you need to forward a port.
When you use Network Utilities you get your port forwarded right now!
Step 1
It is important to setup a static ip address in the device that you are forwarding a port to. This ensures that your ports will remain open even after your device reboots.
- Recommended - Our free Static IP Setter will set up a static IP address for you.
- Another way to get a permanent IP address is to set up a DHCP reservation.
- Or, manually create a static ip address with our Static IP Guides.
This step is important because you want a permanent IP address in your device. If you do not set up a permanent IP address in your device, then when you device reboots it may get a new IP address.
Use a VPN Instead
Have you considered using a VPN instead of forwarding a port? For most users, a VPN is a much simpler and more secure choice than forwarding a port.
We use and recommend NordVPN because not only is it the fastest VPN, it includes a new feature called Meshnet that makes forwarding a port no longer necessary for most applications. With NordVPN Meshnet, you can connect to your devices from anywhere in the world, completely secure, over a highly encrypted VPN tunnel.

Step 2
This step will cover how to login to the HooToo HT-ND003 router. In order to do this you need to open a web browser. It shouldn't matter which browser you decide to use but the manual specifically mentions Firefox and Internet Explorer.
After opening the web browser of your choice, locate the address bar, it is normally located at the top of the page like this:
Above is an example of what a web browser address bar looks like. Find the address bar in your router and type in your router's IP address.
The default HooToo HT-ND003 IP Address is: 10.10.10.252
After typing in the router's IP address, simply click the Enter key on your keyboard. You should then see a page like this:
Simply enter the correct password and you can access the router's web interface.
- The Default HooToo HT-ND003 Router Username is: none
- The Default HooToo HT-ND003 Router Password is: admin
Once you have entered the router's password, click the blue Sign in button.
Having Trouble?
This is a very common place to get stuck. Here are a few things you can try:
- If you have a slightly different firmware version you may also have a different username/password. Why not try some other common HooToo passwords? Here is our list of current Default HooToo Router Passwords.
- If that did not help, it is probably because you changed the password in the past and have forgotten what you changed it to. If this is the case, we recommend using our Find Password App. This app works for you to find out what you changed that password to. Learn all about it on this Router Password Cracker page.
- Finally if neither of those options helped, it may be time to consider a factory reset. A reset like this is a big step and should not be taken lightly. A factory reset erases all your personal data, not just your password. If this is something you need to do, learn how to reset a router on this page.
Step 3
At this point in the guide you should be logged into the router. We now need to find the port forwarding section of the device. Let's start on the System Status page.
First, select the option in the left sidebar labeled Expert Setting.
Then under that choose the new option of Port Range
You have made it to the port forwarding page of the HooToo HT-ND003 router.
Step 4
Here are the ports to forward for Xbox Live:
- TCP Ports: 3074
- UDP Ports: 3074
If you are looking for the ports for a different application you can find it by either:
- Browsing our List of Games
- Check out our our List of Games by Genre
- See our List of all Applications

You might notice that most of our site doesn't have ads on it. This is because we use partnerships with companies like NordVPN to keep the site running. Thank you for supporting us by using our referral links.
If you are only forwarding a single port number then enter that number into both the Start Port and the End Port boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports separated by a hyphen then enter the lowest number of that range into the Start Port box and the highest number of that range into the End Port box.
Enter the IP address that you want to forward these ports to into the To IP Address box. Note that if you are forwarding ports so you can run a program on a device other than your computer then you can enter your device's IP address into that box instead.
Select the protocol type of the ports you are forwarding from the Protocol box.
Enable the Enable checkbox by putting a check in it.
When you are finished, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
Are Your Ports Open
Once you have finished the port forward it is a good idea to check to see if the ports forwarded correctly. In order to do this we have a free Open Port Checker. It is part of our Network Utilities free trial version. Our port checker uses a local application to listen for the server trying to connect. This way we can confirm that your port is forwarded.
