If you have questions about how to connect to your router this guide will help by walking you through the process and explaining, in detail, everything that you need to know in order to log in.
The first thing to know is that your router has an address on your home network (also known as an internal IP address). If you know your router's internal IP address, you can type it into your web browser to connect to your router.
Windows 10
If you do not know what your router's IP address is, you can look at your network to figure it out. If you are on a PC using Windows 10, there is a shortcut to finding this information.
First, click on the Windows key then go to the Settings menu (you may have to click on the gear icon.)
Next, click on Network and Internet. In the Status section, click on View hardware and connection properties.
Look under Ethernet or WiFi and you should see the Default gateway listed. This is your router. Copy the number next to the default gateway, this is your router's internal IP address.
The second thing that you need to know in order to connect to your router is that you can access your router through your browser. Paste the router's internal IP address into the address bar of your browser and press enter.
You should now see the login screen for your router. The last thing that you need to know to log into your router is your username and password.
